Split custom field

How as an admin I can set up split custom variables from company settings for my employees

This feature allows admins to define various options for allocation, whether it's assigning fixed amounts or distributing percentages across different projects or categories.

For instance, a "Billable" split field can be created with options such as "Project A", "Project B", "Project C", and "Project D". Admins can allocate percentages, like 50% to "Project A", while the remaining options receive specific dollar amounts. This setup ensures accurate expense allocation and simplifies project-based expense tracking for the organisation .

To set up split custom variables from company settings , simply follow these steps

  1. Click Sign in on the WegoPro homepage and select your company (You can directly sign in using your company's WegoPro URL as well).

  2. Go to Company settings and select Custom fields from Expenses

  3. Click + Add custom field

  4. Under Field type choose Split value

  5. Now enter a Field name

  6. After this, enter names for different split variables under the Field Name you created, along with their Value types.

  7. If Value type is percentage , then enter the value of the percentage like 20% or 50% etc and it will be pre-filled while employee file an expense

  8. Or you can choose the Value type as fixed, which means employees can enter it while filing an expense, and it will not be pre-filled.

  9. You can check Show in PDF or Show in CSV if you want your employees to export this custom field and its value in the PDF or CSV view for the expense report

  10. Click save to finish
